SENIOR THESIS COLLECTION- WITTICISM

I began my senior thesis playing on texture and designing according to my feelings at the moment. I put little thought into an actual theme, but more so into what I wanted my collection to feel. embody and represent. I used heavy embellishment and texture from materials as seen in my illustrations and draping in the beginning. However, as I got into my second semester; I decided to go another route and focus on playing with hard and soft texture. I used canvas, silk taffeta, satin, weaved wool, and metallic knit fabric to convey my ideas. I entitles my three look collection, "Witticism."

WORKING COLLECTION

SENIOR THESIS ILLUSTRATION- REBALANCING

I began my senior thesis playing on texture and designing according to my feelings at the moment for both my collection and illustrations. I decided to keep going with this idea and continued to play with embellishments, piecing and avante garde shapes. I put little thought into an actual theme, but more so into what I wanted my collection to feel; embody and represent. From everything I've learned the past 4 years they all are shown here;  Rebalancing and reaching a place where my teachings have become one body of work. I used heavy embellishment and texture from materials as seen in my illustrations and draping in the beginning. My wish is that my collection speaks for it's self and you feel an emotion that is your own and not one I impose upon you. I entitled my Fall and Spring illustration collection, "Rebalancing."
